Hard Corps’/The Alamaar Group’s George Spurlock underwent surgery to correct a herniated disc in his neck as well as removing bone spurs yesterday. His wife reports that he came through the surgery just fine and is in his hospital room recovering quietly.
- PSP’s Northeast Open started in earnest today.
- Avalanche leaves the NXL to concentrate on NPPL 7 Man.
- NPPL presents D3/D4 5 man competition at Houston NPPL event. Some theorize that this is a precursor to a reunification of the leagues, but I personally don’t believe that’s the case. And no, I haven’t asked anyone over at The NPPL. Yet. I have to round up some particularly tough Minions to ‘talk’ to Walker…he’s known to be pretty tough.
- Cheryl Amaya says: “PB2X issues will be available for free at the XPSL Nor Cal event! Pick up the September issue there to learn about XPSL Victorville, the Chicago PSP, and a special feature of tips, tricks and tidbits all paintballers should know!”
- DLX Technology rolls out a new version of the Luxe in all black.
- KEE Action Sports reps joining various forums to push their new program, “Great Day of Play”. You sign up at www.greatdayofplay.net, enter the code 68C and get printable coupons to have your field fees covered, assuming you meet certain qualifications. Of course, putting that in my forums is quite possibly one of the most useless things you can do…if you want forums, you don’t go to 68Caliber.Com. We do news, reviews, coverage and other cool stuff. I leave running forums to those who’re willing to deal with porn, drugs, and possible Neo-Nazis. It’d have been nice to have been asked if I wanted to participate in this program, too…just sayin’.
- PSP Announces this year’s World Cup, as well as hotel deals for World Cup. We’ll be staying somewhere near Old Town, so we don’t have to worry about getting back to the room after getting hammered at Sun on the Beach.
- Evan & Susan Money were married again in Park City Utah this weekend. Evan & his bride renew their vows every year in a different state or country, Utah was # 11. A few Hollywood celebs attended but the Ford report is too classy to drop names.
- The GPL announces Event #4, which will take place September 6-7. Registration is open, so sign up now to not only make Cyndi happy, but get in on some of the coolest competition in the NE.
- “Blues Brothers”, 1980. I think The Paintball Reject owes me some E-Cool points. I think I just dated myself, too. Oops.
- Dave “Landshark” Norman presents his scenario paintball clinic “Dark Arts: Guerilla Warfare Clinic” at Fall Conquest.

There will be at least three tanks at the Tippmann Extravaganza being held at EMR on August 30/31. Miller Stryke Brigade, Black Tank Crew, and Lightning Force have all committed to bringing their tanks to this WWII scenario being produced by Viper Paintball. Preregistration ends this Friday 8/15/08, so get yours in today.

The Ford Report is going to have its’ own website soon. It’ll feature exclusive editorial content as well as the previous week’s Report out there for everyone to see. As always, the only way to be up-to-date is to sign up for the Ford Report and be one of the cool kids on the block. A fully functional sign up form will be available as well, as well as the usual ‘about’ information and such. While TheFordReport.Com will be fully independant of 68Caliber.Com, it will complement it information-wise, since I know the guy who does all the content there. I heard he was a Pimp.
