- SPPL Finals are this weekend at Low Country Paintball in Ludowici, GA. This will be my first experience with the SPPL, so I don’t have any preconcieved notions as to what it’ll be like. Mr. Georgia Joe Hamilton will be handling security for me on-site.
- I hear Paris is nice this time of year…
- D-Day has switched to JT Fluid paintballs for 2009 and beyond. No details given on the obviously multi-year deal.
- Camp Miles Paintball is hosting “Search for Bigfoot” at their Punta Gorda, FL facility. Dave Mordall, the host of a new Discovery Channel TV Series called “Adventure Guy” will be on hand filming. www.campmilespaintball.com for more information.
- No, I wasn’t cast as the Bigfoot. I’m too hairy, it would seem.
- Sources indicate that Dawn Allcot is at this time having her labor induced to bring daughter Ashley Lyn Allcot into the world, most likely by this weekend. I have minions posted on-site to get pictures of mom and the baby, assuming TJ doesn’t catch them.
- Travis and Camille Lemanski should be sending out pictures of their new daughter here shortly.
- Team IYAOYAS madman Joseph “Sideshow” Holleran will become a father again next week.
- Planet Eclipse rolls out the Ego 9 and the GEO, both of which are retailing for $1250 at the Millenium Series Paris this weekend. ANS has them on pre-order here in the States as we speak, and I’m told the GEO’s have already sold out. When I saw the press pack for the Ego 9 in the “Ice” (blue/silver) colors my tongue hit the ground, my toes curled, smoke rolled out my ears and my IQ dropped 20 points. Fortunately for me, nobody could really tell.
- Procaps, Tomahawk, ZAP, Planet Eclipse, and JT Sports are all having specials at MS Paris this weekend.
- SOP TV will be on hand as well, making everyone famous.
- I don’t think Nick Truter will be there, though. He’s getting married this weekend. Ladies, just because the “Funny Little Englishman” and “The Hairy American” are married to the finest women on the planet, you can still check us out…just keep it on the DL so the wives don’t get upset…
- Also, the MS will be selling their netting and pole systems at this year’s Paris event. For European field ops, this is a golden opportunity! 4.95 Euros per square meter…
- If you’re playing at GPL Event #5, you’ll get a chance to get into the next GHTP. Then you’ll be famous like Brian Barno, who’s been in GHTP for awhile. I was supposed to be in there myself, but I’m told the graphic designers had a hard time animating a squiggly line (which would represent me) that shoots too much and has a tendency to overload the audio drivers. I’m just that l33t.
- The XPSL is raffling off 10 Bob Long Alias Intimidators at their final event of the year.
- Action Village is selling a Proto SLG UL, which is an SLG with a UL frame on it. Looks pretty nice.
- Planet Eclipse rolls out a mini-site for their new markers, which can be seen at http://www.planeteclipse.com/egogeo/
- There will be JT Specials galore at XPSL SoCal…make sure you stop by and tell ‘em The Ford Report sent you!
- Dangerous Power has released updated internals for their inline regulators. If you’re rocking the stock reg, it’d be good to update it. I recommend www.sbpgear.com ‘s John Navarro to help you with that.
- NOCER Productions’ “Bloodlines: The Inquisition” will be next weekend at Old River Paintball. If you haven’t signed up yet, you’d better get on the stick so you can play one of the cooler storylines in the sport right now.

This is the fourth Brawl for it All held inside a actual full size stadium, complete with restraunts, huge trade show with Canada’s biggest paintball companies (Badlands, PBL,MR paintball etc…), grandstands, and of course protection from the Canadian weather! - The Tiny Blonde Goddess has been worried about Phatty the Cat as of late, thinking that she’s lost weight. After a short debate, I weighed Phatty and found out that in fact she’s gained 4/10ths of a pound. I guess she’s just carrying it well. 16.4 pounds of Calico Love, indeed!
