The 2008 DraXxus Free Finale Tale of the Tape

This year’s Free Finale is returning to Low Country Paintball, where it all started. “The Famous” Billy Smith and “Georgia” Joe Hamilton are taking LCP’s 63 acres back in time, to the ’70′s when sideburns were in, disco was alive, and the hair was huge.

P.I.M.P.S. (Players In Mass Playing Scenario) is a trip back in time, putting two “Playas” against each other to decide who owns the night life at LCP.

Joseph “Sideshow” Holleran

Age: 31

Height: 6’2″

Weight: 185 pounds

Weapon of Choice: Angel A1 Fly

X.O.: Dale “RattPack” Surratt of team IYAOYAS

Sideshow is one of the more intense people you’ll ever meet. Imagine if a Psychotic Marine, a Biker, and a Paintball Player were all blended together, and the resulting radioactive goo were poured into a people mold. That’s Sideshow. He’s been playing for 4 years, one year as a scenario player.

What he may lack in experience he makes up for in intensity and naked aggression. Sideshow and his team IYAOYAS (If You Ain’t Operator, You Ain’t Safe) hit the Deep South scene in a big way at this summer’s “Revenge of a Nerd” where he singlehandedly completed the first part of the final battle mission, which was to get to the top of the 4 story building at Camp Blanding and rescue the General. He did so within the first 3 minutes of the start of the final battle, by himself, armed only with a Tiberius Arms Tac 8 Pistol.

Jason “My-T-Mouse” Hall

Age: 37

Height: 5″5′

Weight: 150 pounds

Weapon of Choice: Smart Parts NXT Shocker

X.O.: Bill “Firebug” Meister of team Recon 1

Jason Hall has been involved with both tournament and scenario paintball all of his playing career, which started in 1986 with Team Scorpions. In 1987, he joined The Doom Troopers, and the rest is history. The Doom Troopers are one of the oldest, most respected teams in the sport, with high-end players like Chris Lasoya getting their start with the Troopers.

These days the Doom Troopers are split into two separate teams, The Doom Troopers and Orlando Doom, who play in local and national level tournaments. In either case the Troopers are a force to be reckoned with on- and off-field, where they’re as well known for their hard partying as they are for their hard playing.

Pick your side, and Keep On Truckin’ to Low Country Paintball December 12th-14th for this year’s DraXxus Free Finale! For more information, check out www.freefinale.com
