  1. After extensive interrogation by my most brutal minions, John Amodea finally spilled the beans as to what he’s up to. At 11:59PM tonight, www.paintballx3.com will go live, and the print magazine with the same name will be published February 5th. There’s also going to be a flipbook edition as well. He’s lined up the very best in the sport to do the writing, photographing and investigating.
  2. **flex**
  3. The RPL chooses SACPaintball.Com as their official forums.
  4. Greg Hastings has released the first half of his 2009 Tour of Duty schedule. Check it out here: http://thefordreport.com/2008/12/29/greg-hastings-tour-of-duty-2009/
  5. Tracy from the SPCS has posted up the field layout and the hotel information for their January event at www.thespcs.com
  6. Okay, so while I’m not supposed to talk about Paint Club, I do know that a site is being developed for it, and that it’s going to be an exclusive game. I’ll have to talk to my people some more to get an idea of how ‘exclusive’ it’s going to be.
  7. Review of Violent Yakuza Tadao board for Ego 8 to commence this weekend at Kohn Paintball Park. Mike Phillips and Willie Galarza from TechPB.Com are going to be there as well, which means that a big chunk of the media power here in the Tampa Bay area will be concentrated in one spot…
  8. No, I won’t be at Paintball Extravaganza this year. However, one of my people will.
  9. An anonymous emailer contacted me this week with this statement: “I don’t much care what Steve Davidson says.  If Paintball News has not put out an issue or updated their website since early October, and if they have not been answering their phones during normal business hours for the last two months, something ain’t quite right.  It would be nice if someone could enlighten all of us out here with some accurate and up to date info, rather than some platitude about everything being “fine,” and that an announcement will come “shortly.”  “Fine” and “shortly” need to be defined.”
  10. Speaking of anonymous, it looks like the Paintball Reject has crawled out of whatever hole he’s been in the past few weeks.
  11. I wonder if it’s the same place TB’s been hiding…
  12. Had a nice conversation with Craig Miller this week. I’m looking forward to Blues Train Deluxe’s album which ought to becoming available in the near future.
  13. The next installment of the Harry Pottier series of games written by Bill “FireBug” Meister is coming along nicely, in time for the game’s date in early March. http://www.lcpscenariogames.com/h_pottier4.htm for the full info on this game.
  14. The PSP announces their first two events of the season, the Phoenix Open which will happen February 19th-22nd, and The Mid-Atlantic Open, which is set to go off April 30th-May 3rd.
  15. The SPCS announces their second event of 2009, set to go off February 8th. Check out www.p8ntballers.com for more info.
  16. ANS Gear has black and blue DYE Rotors in stock, as well as some other goodies.
  17. I’ve been asked to be on a board for a new organization out there called www.savethesport.org . While I don’t agree with everything in their manifesto, I agree with enough to want to be involved.
  18. As 2008 closes and 2009 begins, The Tiny Blonde Goddess and I will be here at the house, getting Phatty the cat drunk and watching her dance around the house with a lampshade on her head. Jamie and I wish all of you a safe New Year’s Eve, and a prosperous and happy 2009!
