A Soldier’s take on things…

Over the weekend I received the following email from a US Army Soldier who’d just returned from a deployment in Iraq:

Mr Dale Ford,

I just wanted to thank you personaly for the press release you did on Paint Club 21, As soldiers who have just returned from a 14 month deployment in Iraq it will be great to attend a private game where we can play our butts off then party our butts off afterwards.

Before our deployment we played most every weekend and have been playing scenario for several years and have tournament experience as well. Most “scenario games” as they are being ran at this time are getting, well, boring if you ask me.

This game seems to bring a new twist to the “game”,bringing new life and interest. This game is not easy to get into, its hard, you got to know someone to get in, and its private, not open to anyone with a dollar to spend can get in. I saw where someone said this game is not politically correct, who gives a hoot in hell about being politically correct, that party is over.

In this economy you better get all the bang for your buck you can. Sure there should be games for the entire family, but not all games are meant to be played by junior and sissy. Mom and dad need some fun too, know what I mean.

Thanks to paintClub 21 and you for getting the word out to the many soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, this is long overdue.

Again, thanks for what you do.

    SPC Nanney,

Very well written Shawn. I hope that you will be able to attend.
