As has become tradition over the past few years, I will have a “Security Team” in place for the PSP World Cup event this year. Contrary to popular belief, members of the Security Team are not Minions. Members of the Security Team are close friends and associates of mine. In some cases I don’t even know who a Minion is!

John Navarro is one of my closest friends, and he’s been a mainstay of the Security Team since the beginning. John owns and operates SoBe Paintball, a Miami-based shop and is the de-facto captain of scenario team South Beach Pimps.

Jay Murray is another close friend, and he and Navarro played on teams all over the state of Florida. Also a member of the South Beach Pimps, Jay’s nickname is “Big Pimpin’”. He generally serves as the sergeant-at-arms for the team, keeping everyone moving in the same direction. On a team with a large number of nasty, intimidating players, Jay is generally regarded as the nastiest and most intimidating.

Dale “RattPack” Surratt is a high ranking member of team IYAOYAS, the tactically minded sister team to the South Beach Pimps. Dale works in a prison, so saying that he’s tough goes without saying. However, he’s also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. A recent convert to “The Darkside”, Dale’s innate niceness is likely to be limited to off-field pursuits in the future.

Drew “Sectionate” Nielson is a teammate of Rattpack’s, and one thing you can depend on out of Drew is that ANYTHING is possible. Drew is without fear and nothing is beyond the pale with him.

Tony “Cooter” Clinger is one of the newest members of The South Beach Pimps, but he came highly recommended by Mike Skinner, his former team captain on Damage, and himself a South Beach Pimp.  Still in his 20’s, Cooter is one of the younger members of the Pimps, and has the youth and aggression on field to keep friend and foe alike on their toes.

Joe “Sideshow” Holleran is the final member of this year’s Security Team. Along with his duties as Associate Editor of Shooting Hot Magazine, Joe is also a founding member of team IYAOYAS. The Irradiated Marine will be on site hanging out in the Planet Eclipse tent, learning from the experts there.
