Frank “Da
Tank” Connell of team Avalanche will be playing at this year’s World Cup with PSP Pro Team NE Hurricanes.
Known as one of the most intimidating players in the game, Connell is the owner of NPPL/USPL team Avalanche. During a phone call, Da Tank admitted that his guesting with the Hurricanes wasn’t meant to be made public, but a picture of him holding and using a Hurricanes Ego 10 was snapped at the Campaign Cup and shown on ProPaintball.Com, fueling rumors of an Avalanche/NE Hurricanes merger for the 2010 season.
He also allowed that talks were underway with NE Hurricane’s Jeff Stein to merge Avalanche and NE Hurricanes for the 2010 season, forming a superteam that would participate in both the PSP and NPPL/USPL. While nothing is set in stone yet, he and Stein are talking and agreed to keep The Ford Report in the loop as the situation develops.
