While everyone else was partying in Vegas over the weekend, The Tiny Blonde Goddess and I were partying with Kristie and Andy Graham of NOCER Productions and enjoying the weather. This year the Vampires won, although it was a fight to the very end. Congrats to Mike Tolnay and Mike Castleman for putting on a beast of a fight! I shot 4 cases of paint myself, which is the most I’ve ever shot at a NOCER game. I suspect that my new Avalanche Ego 9 had something to do with it…

The NPPL is going to be taking a look at their gun rules for 2010. Chuck Hendsch put out the following statement: “I spoke to many team captains and players over the weekend about the severity of Rule 23.07. The penalty fits and needs to be strict for players that have intentionally put cheating modes in their markers. The penalty is too harsh on players and teams that have a mechanical trigger failure or slight trigger bounce base on trigger adjustment. Although we can not reverse the rule that was applied in the 2009 Las Vegas event, we can make changes going forward. This is not the first time we have made adjustments to our rules after an event and I am confident the rules committee along with Dan Perez will come up with a good solution for the 2010 season.” The rules committee is also going to examine and modify the rules regarding overshooting and markers being thrown.”

If you follow Shooting Hot Magazine on Facebook, you’re aware that this past weekend an incident occurred during the dinner battle where an attractive female player dove into a bunker occupied by me and a couple of other players, and in the process nearly lost her pants, requiring some effort on her part to get them back to where they needed to be on her body. I’ve been asked by a lot of people to give details, but all I’ll say on the matter is that her honor and dignity weren’t at risk, nor was my honor as a married man. What happens at Old River STAYS at Old River!
