PSP World Cup 2009 getting ready…

The Tiny Blonde Goddess and I jumped into the Silver Bullet for a drive from our base in Tampa to Fantasy of Flight near Polk City, Florida to see if we could get some pictures of the setup process for this year’s World Cup.

Situated right off exit 44 on I-4, Fantasy of Flight is very easy to get to as compared to dealing with the Disney properties.   While there’s very little of note nearby to Fantasy of Flight, Kissimmee is a short 21 mile drive, and Lakeland is even closer.

Several of the larger paintball companies were on site getting set up including DXS with their usual show setup, to DYE/Proto’s massive tent complex.  KEE Action Sports was in the middle of setting up their booth along with Planet Eclipse, Valken and Custom Products.

Being located in Central Florida, we were concerned that it would be hotter than we’re used to on the coast.  However, this year’s World Cup venue is located right on a small lake, and the resulting breeze is extremely pleasant.

We were hoping to get a sneak peek at the GI Mil-Sim booth, but it was in the earliest stages of being set up when we were on site.   While the Planet Eclipse Booth is dwarfed by the Proto/DYE booth, it appeared to us that Planet is going to make up for the smaller size by presenting a state-of-the-art display for their products.    To see the pictures from today’s field trip, check out The Ford Report Gallery HERE
