As I mentioned in the first press release regarding the 2010 PaintClub 21 event, there’s a process involved in getting ‘in’ at PaintClub 21: Project Chaos.
Like the May event, you start by sending an email to paintclub21@yahoo.com , and after we check you out, which may or may not include a criminal background check, you’ll be sent an email giving you a link to go and register for the event, pay and then, and ONLY then, you’re ‘in’.
There’s no referral system involved, which as 10-Shot Kid noted elsewhere, is ‘gay’. Being proud heterosexuals, none of us involved with PaintClub21 wants to be anywhere near anything that is remotely ‘gay’. While we understand that sexual preference is a choice, we at PaintClub21 choose boobies. If you swing the other way, that’s fine and wonderful…keep it in the Ding-Dong Tent with the ladies.
Please note that not everyone who sends an email in attempting to get ‘in’ at PaintClub21: Project Chaos will get ‘in’. Known troublemakers, people with criminal convictions involving sexual deviance or abuse of children will not be let in, no matter how much money you offer to pay us.
If you’re in the paintball media, please note that you will not be allowed to take pictures at this event, or discuss in any form what goes on at the event. A writer who wishes to remain anonymous will be doing written coverage of the event, and I, Rich “PBJunkie” Struth of PBJunkie.Com, and Bill Murray of Shooting Hot magazine will be doing the photographic coverage of the event, both on field and in the tent. There will be no other cameras allowed on site, period. If you’re seen with a camera, I will personally warn you to put it away. The second time you’re seen with a camera, a Long County Sheriff’s Deputy will warn you to put it away. A third time, that very same Long County Sheriff’s Deputy will be escorting you off the property. If you choose to argue or resist the Long County Sheriff’s Deputy, that’s on you.
After the May event, my email was besieged with requests for the “Inside the Tent” pictures. As I was not authorized to release those pictures, and the bribes to do so were insufficient to put myself in a Corvette or Shooting Hot Magazine’s Associate Editor Joe Holleran on a Harley-Davidson, we chose to retain those pictures for our own uses. The Dark Overlord, Minister Of Sinister Implications and Information Dispersal and the Assistant Minister Of Sinister Implications and Information Dispersal will be discussing in the near future how we intend on sharing pictures from on the field and inside the tents. While I can’t speak for the Dark Overlord or Assistant Minister Of Sinister Implications and Information Dispersal, speaking for myself, I’m willing to take Pre-Bribes in order to ‘accidentally’ send pictures to you.
If you’re a member of the Industry, I will not ever mention your name in promotional material for this event, and I’ll ensure that the anonymous writer who’s covering the event doesn’t do so either., unless you give specific, written permission for us to do so. (Ken from SPO Gear did, just in case you’re wondering…) However, please understand that once you step on the property to participate in the event, nobody knows nor cares who you are or how important you are within the industry. Like the rest of us, you’re a player, and EVERYONE plays, no exceptions.
One of the many questions I’ve been asked is if the “Call Out” system we used at the first event will be in place for PaintClub21: Project Chaos. The answer is yes. If by chance you have a beef with, or think you’ve seen conduct unbecoming from a player at the event, then you have the right to call that player out for a 1v1 or whatever combination of players you choose to take your differences out on The Dark Overlord’s X-Ball Field and leave them there. There are no requirements for being called out or calling someone out. For instance, I was called out even before the event officially began for “Talking too Aggressively”.
The event is set to happen February 20th and 21st, 2010. Start the process today of getting ‘in’ by emailing paintclub21@yahoo.com . To get an idea of what fun you’ll have, check out “Blue 14”’s coverage of the May event in the October issue of Shooting Hot Magazine, located at www.shootinghotmagazine.com .
