  1. The NE Hurricanes have withdrawn from the Pro Circuit. Jeff Stein has promised an exclusive interview to The Ford Report regarding his and The Hurricanes’ future plans. If you have a specific question you want me to ask, drop me a line at dale@thefordreport.com
  2. Had an amazing time at The Free Finale this past weekend. LCP Game Writer “Georgia” Joe Hamilton has really outdone himself. Look for event coverage in Shooting Hot Magazine in January!
  3. Frank Connell was there, and I asked him about his alleged departure from ProCaps….he beat the crap out of me, and had Barno join in the fun.
  4. Speaking of Barno, he and the Romanian Terminator dropped me a line: “Procaps Direct would like to welcome Andy Potter to our sales team. Andy Potter comes to us from JT USA as one of their top sales performers. “I am excited to add Andy to our growing sales team. Andy comes highly recommended not only by his colleagues but also by the stores and fields he has dealt with. His customer service is second to none.” States Brian Barno, National Sales Director of Procaps Direct.”
  5. Glenn Palmer had a birthday recently.
  6. Gio D’Edigio announces that Entourage is leaving the Dynasty organization and going on their own as Newport Entourage as a USPL Pro Team. The normally ebullient D’Edigio was reportedly giggling like the proverbial Japanese Schoolgirl as he made the announcement.
  7. JC Leabo chimes in: “Rudy aka tree was laid to rest this monday. The long time teammate and childhood friend of the Smith County Suicide Guys was killed in a car accident. Family members and friends gathered to say goodbye as he was honored with a 21 paintball gun salute. Rudy will be remembered as an exceptional player, hero, but most im…portantly as a son, as a father, and a partner to his wife.”
  8. This Sunday, Cousins Coram NY location will offer a special walk on open game for pump and pistol only! Take a break form shopping and putting up the lights to shoot some of your friends! One ball one kill old school baby! Games will start promptly at 9 and run through out the day. www.cousinspaintball.com for more info.
  9. PBNation is doing field reviews now. Don’t you have to actually play paintball to do a field review?
  10. Evan Money let me in on this one: “DID YOU MISS THE AMAZING TELEPHONE SEMINAR? How to recession proof your paintball field in the New Year! Well now you can hear the recording THIS WEEK ONLY! CALL: (641)-527-4212 regular phone rates apply. When prompted use attendee code: 5355258# The use recording: 123# Then sit back and enjoy and make sure to take some notes! Even if you haven’t opened your paintball field yet this telephone seminar is for you. For those of you that do have a field then get ready TO SKY ROCKET YOUR SUCCESS and INCREASE YOUR REVENUE 50% or more!”
  11. Blue and Deuce kicked my door in at the hotel this weekend and passed this one along: “The Defender’s Spots for the Spring Castle Conquest XXIX at EMR Paintball Park on April 24th, 2010 are already filling up. If you want to defend and get on the guaranteed Defender’s List, register soon. Home Team WILDCARDS will be leading the heroic defense and joined by FREAKS of NATURE and S.F. WICKED WOMBATS. Thank-you Wayne and Jackie for the great hospitality at the Grand Finale and also Thank-you to Billy at the Free Finale for the same. Back to back weekends in Florida and Georgia and enjoyed them both; ready for a rest.”
  12. Johnny Perchak was interviewed by MakeItPro Tv this week.
  13. Drew “SectionAte” Nielson has taken over as the Commanding Officer of the SE chapter of scenario team IYAOYAS.
  14. Memorable moment from Free Finale this year: A player bought 10 cases of paint, and Brian Barno of ProCaps commented that it ought to be enough for his team…the player replied: “This is just for me!”. The look of utter puzzlement on Barno’s face was priceless.
  15. Wayne Montle chimes in: “Wayne Montle at Blast Radius Woodsball Podcast (http://brwp.net) interviewed special guests Richmond Italia from GI Milsim and Tom Cole from Kingman. Regardless of which side of the 50cal debate you find yourself, this episode is a great listen. The in-depth conversation covers whether 50cal paint will cost less for players, ballistic performance comparison, implications for field owners, and protective netting standards.

  16. A reader in Finland dropped me a line with this: “I don’t know how current this is, but the picture seems to be the correct Keely Watson, visit… http://www.hotbodypilates.com/8400.html ….and scroll down for her info.
  17. Right after I sent the Ford Report last week, old friend Marc Bearse emailed me letting me know that the newly upgraded version of The Ford Report is up and running…and apparently people are liking it, because I’m in the position of having to upgrade my hosting account to handle the traffic coming to the site. It’s an annoyance, but it’s a good kind of annoyance to have.
  18. Pictures from Free Finale 2009 as seen by me and Shooting Hot Magazine photographer Constance Wilkins can be seen here: http://www.thefordreport.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=22
  19. I used the LAPCO Assault barrel with Dishka Thunder tip this weekend on my Vicious Ego 7…it was frighteningly loud, which is what it’s designed to do! Review coming soon in Shooting Hot Magazine.
  20. PBUprising got a good picture of me in action with the barrel as well…check it out! Apologies to the Romanian Terminator for not wearing my Grills mask…weather conditions forced me to wear my old JT Flex, which fogged marginally slower than my Grill. 40 degrees and raining is a recipe for mask difficulties…
