Two media powerhouses, one new and one that’s been around for awhile have come to an agreement forming a strategic alliance between the two organizations. The terms of the agreement aren’t being made public.

The Ford Report is the popular mailing list where owner Dale Ford runs down the news occurring in paintball every week, delivering the news via email to his subscribers. The website www.thefordreport.com is where old reports can be read by the general public and is where exclusive content like editorials, photos and analysis of the news can be seen as well.

Shooting Hot Magazine is a joint venture between Publisher Billy Smith and Editor Dale Ford that targets the 24-54 year old market, with a more mature look at the game from a player’s perspective. In addition to the reviews, coverage and news in Shooting Hot, Rich “Junkie” Struth hosts the “Junkie in the Trunk” centerfold featuring some of the hottest women ever to grace a magazine page. SHM went live October 1^st, 2009 and has already become one of the most popular digital magazines for paintball.

Speaking about the alliance, TFR’s Dale Ford said “Forming this alliance with SHM is a great move for both of us, especially in these tough economic times. By teaming up, we can offer advertisers a reasonably priced way to attack two different kinds of readers at once, and bang for the buck is the way to go these days!”

SHM’s Billy Smith agreed with Ford, saying “With the Ford Report and SHM working wholly together, we will be able to provide more bang for the buck for advertising and spread greater content for readership at both sites. We look forward to the adventure that is 2010.”
