With the acquisition of The SPPL by LCP’s Billy Smith, I’ve been brought on to handle PR matters and generally keep the playing public informed about the goings-on with The SPPL.
Apparently not everyone in the paintball community, and the media are comfortable with this. What follows is an email received from Steve and/or Karen Davidson of 68Caliber:

Mr. Ford,
You have previously been told that 68Caliber.com is not willing to accept press releases from you.
This is the second release you have sent in less than a week.
Please do not send any more – your email address(es) are being re-directed to the spam filter from this date forward.
If the organization(s) you represent wish to provide 68Caliber with press releases in the future, they will need to come from a different source.
68Caliber.com
I don’t remember previously being informed that 68Caliber as an entity would not accept Press Releases written and sent by me to them and other members of the paintball press, but I’ll take Mr. Davidson at his word.
While I can’t speak for Mr. Davidson and his experience in running a news website, I can state from my own experience that you don’t necessarily like everyone you converse with, but at least in my case, I put those personal feelings aside and report the news, which is the purpose of owning a news outlet.
Unfortunate.
