For those of you involved with the Paintball Business Journal, John Amodea (I think) emailed in with this: “Hello all, the Paintball Business Journal site was hacked more than 2 months ago and we’ve had ongoing problems since. We have FINALLY gotten that under control and will be back online and publishing monthly in 2 weeks. Sorry for the delay. Our next triple size issue will be out August 1.”

12. The NPPL announces their 2010 All-Star Game. I know voting has started, and I was reminded that it’s a good idea to vote for Frank Connell. The consequences of not voting for Frank don’t need to be mentioned. Even if he’s not competing in that event, vote for him. Trust me.

14. Finally got to meet “Deuce” last weekend. I’ve played at EMR several times, I know Blue well enough that he recognizes me on sight and we can have a nice conversation, but for some odd reason I never met Deuce. Deuce didn’t come over the table and beat me up, so I gather that Potter said nice things about me to him…
15. Speaking of DXS, Paintball Arkansas has signed on with DXS. I played this field in 2000, at my first ever scenario game. Talk about a blast from the past…

27. My friend Kurt had to spend some time in the hospital this week, since they needed to do a biopsy on his lungs to see about some masses growing in them. The prevailing theory is that it’s a type of fungal pneumonia, which he describes as “This fungal crap in my lungs”. He’s out of the hospital now, and will be undergoing further testing to see what the dealio is. He feels pretty good right now, and isn’t overly concerned about “This fungal crap in my lungs”. Keep the prayers coming.
