After 6 months of negotiations, Shoreline Events Ltd and YPC of the UK secured the permission and operating parameters to set up their own brand new World Record. The record would be for the worlds longest paintball shot and the first session for attempting the new record was at last weeks Super6/2 event. The new Guiness World Record for the longest paintball shot was recorded by Mr Andrew Turner using an Angel Fly SE and Dark Sports (Dark Blast Premium Grade) paintballs with a distance of 72.02m
Tim Barnett – Shoreline: “The atmosphere was electric and after 300 separate attempts, the brand new World Record was set at just over 72 metres. Players will be given the opportunity to write their own names into the records books at all future Shoreline and YPC events. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the players and a great PR for the paintball industry in general to be recognised by the Guiness World Record panel and both Shoreline and YPC are pleased to have been able to make that happen for the game of paintball. The next attempt will be at Shoreline’s ArmoGeddon game at YPC in June.”
