  • The same weekend as the NPPL Las Vegas event, (October 5-6) Low Country Paintball will be having a work weekend to put the finishing touches on the field before the Zombie Apocalypse game, which will also be a charity event for “Georgia” Joe Hamilton. Head on over to http://www.locopaintball.com for more info on how to get to LCP.
  • Well played, Billy…well played.
  • Gino Postorivo has been posting up a flyer for “Valken Cup” in 2013. As yet I’ve gotten no responses to multiple inquiries about the event, so Minions have been dispatched to NJ to interrogate Will Bourgault. The interrogation report was disturbing for several reasons, first and foremost being that Bourgault seemed to enjoy it…
  • Jim “Dive” Walton checks in: “Jim Walton of APE was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia just after the NPPL event at Raymond James Stadium in 2007. Now he is back with a group that helps causes throughout the paintball community. The group is called Paintball Players Care. It will become a non- profit orginization with will help organize a game every quarter in which a major cause will be given to. You can get most of the other information about causes from their Facebook page.” https://www.facebook.com/groups/126224497521722/ is the link…
  • As it’s well known, I have a soft spot for those who’ve dealt with Leukemia. Helping Jim out by telling people about Paintball Players Care is an honor.
  • One of the events that Paintball Players Care is involved with is “The Battle for 1313 Mockingbird Lane”, which is happening this weekend at First Strike Paintball in Newberry, FL. If you’re around, drop by and check it out!
  • I know Taylor Ashton of 88 Teeth Photography will be there, covering the event and doing one of the photo shoots for Machine Paintball. Make sure you tell him Hi, and see if you can sneak a peek at the gun…and if you’re hot, get some pictures taken with it!
  • While Jim Walton and Andrew Spurlock were duking it out for this week’s “Most Awesome” contest, US Army Soldier Josh Satterfield snuck in and claimed the prize! He owns a Vapor, so that makes him awesome all by itself!
  • Seth Manchester took on L.A. Hitman Sonny Lopez: http://thefordreport.com/2012/09/sonny-lopez/ . Sonny’s fast, but Seth was faster…
  • Someone up in NY has chained Brian Barno to his desk…he got an email out to me letting me know that he’s got all sorts of stuff to tell me about, but he’s been working 24/7 to get ready for Paris and World Cup. Apparently there’s quite a bit going on at GI/Procaps Direct.
  • It was probably Stork.
  • Mike from TechPB takes on the Vapor: http://thefordreport.com/2012/09/mike-from-techpb-takes-on-the-vapor/
  • Quarles is all about some Bikes, Blues, and BBQ: http://thefordreport.com/2012/09/splat-marks-the-spot-jt-splatmaster-hits-the-bikes-blues-and-bbq/
  • I wonder what kind of motorcycles Quarles and Taitano ride?
  • Speaking of Bikes, the TFR ZX-11 is going back into the shop next week for a new chain and sprockets…which will make it fully ready mechanically. Aesthetics are another issue entirely…
  • There’s been an Uprising! http://thefordreport.com/2012/09/uprising-in-north-america/
  • Taitano pushed Quarles out of the way to let me know that the Blue and Silver SE edition Axe is in stock.
  • There are Zombies attacking CPX. No word on if Sean Scott is one of the Undead or not.
  • There were no survivors at Hell Survivors: http://youtu.be/D9wLTC3lX_c
  • Over in the UK, Shoreline Paintball’s Tim Barnett was pleased to tell me that after filming and editing the first two episodes of The Paintball Show, he went back and re-negotiated with the broadcast TV channel to extend the length of the show from 60 minutes to 90 minutes.
  • He still won’t tell me who’s reading my segment on the show…I suspect Suzy, but I can’t get confirmation of that.
  • See behind the scenes pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.420403104689321.100132.407779919284973&type=3
  • The deadline to get the best pricing for “Decay of Nations” out in California is fast approaching…if you’re going, better get signed up!
  • Eric Engler is making miniguns now: https://www.facebook.com/englercustom.paintball
  • I wonder what Bryon Benini is up to these days….
  • This weekend Ashley and I will be heading to Starke, FL to attend the wedding of close friend Steve Turner to his lady love, Ami. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re looking forward to seeing the two make their vows this weekend.
